Let’s talk about my new Flat Top Kabuki Foundation Brush by Colours Cosmetics Malaysia. This Foundation brush is designed for liquid, cream and even powder products. Absolutely a-must-have if you more on liquid foundation, it works perfectly and no more cakey and unnatural finish look. Trust me... I've been using this Flat Kabuki brush more on lately, even with my pressed powder, forget those sponges/beauty blender and be with my newly fave Foundation brush.
Let's have a take a look on the brush that I'm talking about ;)
It comes with a brush guard |
The measurement is approx. 10cm |
It is made from synthetic bristles, cruelty-free and never tested in animals. The ferrule is made from tri- chrome plating (less commonly chromium plating) provides corrosion resistance and can be long lasting.
This CCM Short Handle Flat Top Kabuki Foundation Brush is can be a dupe for Sigma F80 Kabuki Brush (in my own observation) except for the handle which is a huge exemption because CCM Foundation brush has a short and quite thick handle while the Sigma F80 has a long and quite thin handle. But, for the bristles and its densely packed, it's a win-win! Why spend much money for the high end brand if you can get one in affordable price yet you can get the same quality. Agree?!
One more thing!
Have you experienced that your brush always knocked your mirror while doing your makeup routine because of the long handle? Yeah, that's what happened in my case. It keeps me knocking the mirror every time and it is really annoying. That is the main reason why I bought my CCM Foundation Kabuki brush. Due to its short handle, it solved my problem, just like that! No more bumping my brush in front of the mirror again. That's kind of a relief actually :)
The bristles were so soft, very gentle to use even for sensitive skin, you wouldn't even think that it's a synthetic. |
I used my CCM Short Handle Flat Top Kabuki Brush with my drugstore product which is the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation in Early Tan. I applied it in circular motion start from my T-zone area towards my cheeks, jaw line and to my forehead. Wait it to settle down and applied my setting powder (ELF HD Powder). It was just so perfect and feels like no foundation at all. Normally when I'm using a Beauty Blender, I get a medium to heavy coverage, while my RT Stippling Brush provides me light coverage. But this Kabuki Brush really just impressed me. I expected to feel a little bit heavy but I felt my skin still can breathe nicely and I don't feel like I have foundation on my face. I just don't know why.
