MATT ME!!! CHICA Y CHICO MATT FIX CUSHION

Hello ladies... It's been awhile. And I'm back! It's been a really really loong weeks for me and now I spare my whole hours to share to all of you what I have found out. Nah! just relax and stay with me ya alright??!

Few weeks ago, I have received this new Korean cushion product for review purposes. And before I decided to make my first impression and provide feedback, I have tried it for 1 week to see the result and if it can really prove what it promised! So I am so excited to share my review..

I know everyone of you are also looking for a product specially the one that can be part of your daily make-up routine, whether you are heading out to work, shopping, on a date or even on a dinner event, we would like to look stunning and oil-free skin all day/night long. So, at first I did some research and read some useful tips about this product, some mentioned that it is not suitable for dry skin, some of them stated that it did not last long to them. Well... of course, different skin type and different preferences when it comes to beauty products. And when it comes to foundation, cushion, powder etc.. we do want something that will suit our skin tone, skin type and of course the one that can be wear for long hours, without worrying if we do have blotting paper on our pouch or a pressed powder that can take away all those greasiness on our face. We do not want that, don't we??!

So let me introduce the Chica Y Chico Mat Fix

The good thing about this cushion is that, it didn't gave me any white cast on my T-Zone area. And the shade really matches my skin tone after it being oxidize. It cool down the light effect but the glowing effect still remains!

Swatch on my hand
Before blending

After Blending

You may noticed the differences between the two parts of my hand. It is really a matt finished. Like a powdery type finished foundation.

I'm on a shade No. 23

I do have a medium neutral tone, and this shade is just perfect for me.

If you do have an oily and sensitive skin, this is a product that you may want to try. To be frankly, I didn't used final powder or setting powder every time I used this one. It can last really long, despite of me having an oily and sensitive skin. And the scent is not as strong as like the other cushion.

Overall.. I really do like it, and good thing about this product is that, it is inexpensive compare to other cushion that offers the same quality and effect.

Where to buy?
This is a sponsor product, and intended for review purposes only. All my review and comments are based on my own impressions and experience. You may check out some online beauty store that carries Korean beauty products such as Althea Korea and Hermo Malaysia.

Of course, I will definitely continue to use it, and I will repurchase it in the future.

Price: RM40+

Pros: Stay long, for oily skin, and no sticky feeling after application.
Cons: No refill included.

Stay tune for more beauty products review

Review: CCM Short Handle Flat Top Foundation Brush from Colours Cosmetic Malaysia

You might be familiar with different brushes if you're a makeup lover. Despite of different brands in the cosmetic industry, who don't have a favorite one, right? Whether it’s a high end or a drugstore brand, it doesn't matter as long as we achieve the look that we wanted, a flawless and perfect natural finish look, effortless.

Let’s talk about my new Flat Top Kabuki Foundation Brush by Colours Cosmetics Malaysia. This Foundation brush is designed for liquid, cream and even powder products. Absolutely a-must-have if you more on liquid foundation, it works perfectly and no more  cakey and unnatural finish look. Trust me... I've been using this Flat Kabuki brush more on lately, even with my pressed powder, forget those sponges/beauty blender and be with my newly fave Foundation brush.

Let's have a take a look on the brush that I'm talking about ;)

It comes with a brush guard
The measurement is approx. 10cm
If you haven't heard about Colours Cosmetics Malaysia – they are a cosmetic online seller here in Malaysia and they carried many cosmetic products like Sleek Makeup, Milani, Jordana, NYX and many more.. And the brush I am reviewing right now is under their trademark  and exclusively can purchase only from their web store.
It is made from synthetic bristles, cruelty-free and never tested in animals. The ferrule is made from tri- chrome plating (less commonly chromium plating) provides corrosion resistance and can be long lasting.

This CCM Short Handle Flat Top Kabuki Foundation Brush is can be a dupe for Sigma F80 Kabuki Brush (in my own observation) except for the handle which is a huge exemption because CCM Foundation brush has a short and quite thick handle while the Sigma F80 has a long and quite thin handle. But, for the bristles and its densely packed, it's a win-win! Why spend much money for the high end brand if you can get one in affordable price yet you can get the same quality. Agree?!

But, of course, everyone has their own preferences of brand when it comes to makeup products, but for me, I am totally satisfied with my new foundation brush. If you're a beginner, this brush might be the one you need because you don't need to have a different brush when you are just a beginner, you should start from a brush that can do multitasking  when applying makeup  (e.g. Blending Brush- can be used for applying your eyeshadow, blending your eye shadow, contouring brow bone and the nose bridge area. While Kabuki Flat Top Brush - can used for foundation (for liquid, cream and powder), contouring, highlighter, blush and setting powder. Don't make yourself confuse for having many brushes that you don't really know what they used for. Be basic and just learnt about it. Overall, I'm really pleased with it.

One more thing!
Have you experienced that your brush always knocked your mirror while doing your makeup routine because of the long handle? Yeah, that's what happened in my case. It keeps me knocking the mirror every time and it is really annoying. That is the main reason why I bought my CCM Foundation Kabuki brush. Due to its short handle, it solved my problem, just like that! No more bumping my brush in front of the mirror again. That's kind of a relief actually :)

The bristles were so soft, very gentle to use even for sensitive skin, you wouldn't even think that it's a synthetic.

How I used it
I used my CCM Short Handle Flat Top Kabuki Brush with my drugstore product which is the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation in Early Tan. I applied it in circular motion start from my T-zone area towards my cheeks, jaw line and to my forehead. Wait it to settle down and applied my setting powder (ELF HD Powder). It was just so perfect and feels like no foundation at all. Normally when I'm using a Beauty Blender, I get a medium to heavy coverage, while my RT Stippling Brush provides me light coverage. But this Kabuki Brush really just impressed me. I expected to feel a little bit heavy but I felt my skin still can breathe nicely and I don't feel like I have foundation on my face. I just don't know why.

Where to buy
Exclusively can purchase from Colour Cosmetic Malaysia. You can visit their web store here

Price
I bought mine for only RM46.75 (Normal price RM55) You can enjoy a 15% discount if you enter the discount code that can be seen from the bloggers review that provided under the product details. You also can find their useful review and details regarding to this CCM Foundation Brush. Do check them out too:)

Note: Mine never shed at all, even my first time washing. I expect to have at least a few strands of bristles but nothing :)

Sorry guys, right now I still can't able to make a video tutorial about this Foundation Brush, because of the hectic week schedule.  But I will definitely make one soon.

Hope you find my review useful and till my next review gorgeous :)

100% Pure Jojoba Oil and 100% Moisturizing Almond Oil: A Nature's gift for my Skin from Natta Cosme

Did you know essential oils have a great benefit to our skin? Yes, you've read that right! Most of the essential oils are high in antioxidants which is great for our skin. It can help to fight and prevent damaging effects of aging, diet, and the environment. It is also can be used not only for the skin, but for hair and scalp as well. Due to its pure ingredient of only natural substance, it can be used for all skin types and take note, for even a very sensitive skin (Well, like me). It is very easy to absorb by the skin and can help to prevent and cure skin problems.

Let's get back on HOW and WHY did I get this

Last week, I decided to purchase two essential oils from Natta Cosme. It's the 100% Pure Jojoba Oil by Desert Essence and Almond Oil from Now Solutions. Recently, I made a post regarding my new beauty regimen, but after a week of using it alone, I decided why not combine it with essential oils, thinking of maybe it will work much well or at least can give more benefits to my skin and I didn't get wrong! Adding a few drops of jojoba oil from my Cleanser up to my serum really gives a long lasting effect, and it totally softens my skin as ever.

Can you believe it? The oils that I ignored for almost a year, has given me the soft and hydrated skin that I wish I had long time ago. I do love making a DIY face mask, the Olive oil and Tea tree oil that I've been mixing with my mask previously has also amazing result in my skin, but recently I have run out of those oils, so I decided to try the jojoba and almond oil. It's a great essential oil because the fact that they are natural, they also can give a very dramatic results on my skin. Based on my previous skin problem, I had a severe acne due to some reasons: Poor diet, lack of sleep, less exercise and stress. When my acne started to cover my entire cheeks and chin, I felt like I will never be in front of the mirror looking at myself again, it was like a nightmare that I want to escape to. I tried a lot of products from OXY, Nuteen, Nano, Hada Labo, Neutrogena, Dermalogica and nothing helps me to stop those pesky zits. Until one day, I saw at Guardian the Tea Tree oil from Aiken brand and it says 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil, so I decided to try it out and with my surprised it heals and dried my acne in just a few nights. Because, I only applied it during bed time as I don't like the oily feeling on skin during day time, It makes me like I need to fried something on my face if it combines with the natural oil produce by my face. I continued to use it, and if got a mood and a lot of time, I made a DIY Facial Mask which I am totally in love with :), It was so relaxing and soothed my irritated, sensitive skin and those angry pimples, I add a few drops of Olive oil as well to add some essence on the mask and it also gives a moisturizing effect on my skin.

100% Jojoba oil 118ml
After applying the Jojoba oil, there has a slight oil residue. (But not that oily like the coconut oil). Skin feels so moisturize and soft =)
Almond oil 100% pure moisturizing oil 118ml
I used the almond oil every morning when I woke up from bed, and before I wash my face. Just 2-3 drops are enough as I just only used it to massage my face, especially those areas that I still have visible acne scars, and leave for about 10-20 mins. And I washed my face with my Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and mix 2-3 drops of jojoba oil into it and lather all over my face and massage in a circular motion. Since my cleanser has no foam on it, it is very gentle and really so mild on my skin. It relieves redness around my nose and the jojoba oil help to clean deeply my pores and removes excess oil and it was very very soft. After rinsing, I pat it dry with a clean towel. Putting my moisturizer, I used Physiogel Al lotion and mix 1-2 drops of jojoba oil Again and apply it to my entire face. Again, Physiogel Al lotion is formulated for Rapid relief of redness and itch in dry, irritated and sensitive skin. It is exclusively can purchase from a Dermatologist. I only apply it during day time, but during night time, I used the Endocare Tensage serum and as like what I did in my morning routine, I also mix 1-2 drops of jojoba oil on my night time serum, it was not that oily as look what it is. It's just so soft and feel so hydrated and helps to recover my skin during night time as the serum contains snail extract ingredient which is known for helping to restore our skin natural properties, lighten scars and helps to even those skin area that has discoloration/uneven skin tone. Endocare Serum also exclusively from Dermatologist, It is really pricey, 30ml for like RM180+ so to make the best out of it, I used it only during night time, when my skin is restored and repairing those damage cells and layers of the skin which have been damaged due to previous acne problem. Those oils are my savior. I wouldn't look further with any other beauty products when it comes to my skin care, as it really answer what I looking for.

Pros:
Feel so hydrated
Very moisturize
Non greasy
Lightweight

Cons:
I don't see any

Where to buy?
I bought mine from Natta Cosme Online website
They always include a freebie(s)/sample sachet of their new product.

Review: My Tapered Blending Brush from Colours Cosmetics Malaysia

When it comes to eye makeup routine, having a blending brush is a must have on our makeup kit to achieve a defined and perfect eye look finish. We don't want those eyeshadow to look harsh and weird around the crease area as we didn't blend it properly. Different people have different type of monolids, from little to no crease and less define brow bone, common in Asian eyes. Some lid space is perfect for multiple looks. But in general, blending is always the next step whether it's for a smokey or neutral looks.

I decided to try the Tapered Blending Brush from Colours Cosmetics Malaysia, as they carry their own name for this specific brush, and I'm quite impressed with the claims on their website "Specially designed for Asian eyes" and the price is quite reasonable, since this is the first time I will purchase a blending brush, so why not give it a try. So I place my order, actually this is not the first time I purchased from them, If I'm not mistaken, it's my 3rd time, I do really love buying stuff from their website, they do fast shipping and I also can collect rewards points as well, that I can be use for my next purchase.

This is the packaging when you buy this brush, it comes in a small packaging/leaflet with instructions and a cute blue ribbon :) They make sure it won't get any scratch so they properly wrapped it with plastic as well even it's already inside the leaflet.

So here is the Tapered Blending Brush, it has a smaller brush than what I expected. Its a really great brush because I have a deep monolid but small eyelid, so it is a good thing that I have this on my kit.

It is made from synthetic bristles, as we all know synthetic bristles is way much better when it comes to applying cream, liquid or even powder makeup. It blends too well and in my case, it never sheds at all. It has a pointed top and designed to only blend your desired area, never worried that you might blend it out of the zone.

This is far my camera can close up. For more close up picture of this brush, please check them out at here
I also got these freebies as well :)
If you are looking for an affordable yet quality blending brush, you might try this. I can highly recommended this if you can't afford to get one from Sigma or Mac because for me, I think this is a great brush and I'm very satisfied with it, it really blending my eyeshadow effortless, remember that not all blending brush is designed for Asian eyes.

Take note: Mine never sheds at all, even when my first time washing it, really impressive!

Anyway, it only cost me RM35 (excluding shipping fee) and the delivery in my case only takes 2 days. That's a good deal right?

Hope ladies you find my review useful and till my next review :)

Review: My 1st Luxola Online Shopping Experienced

If you are familiar with Luxola, you also aware that they always have a huge discount and promotions for their beauty products, whether it's only for 1 day sale or even a few hours. Selected items is not included like for Sigma Beauty, Vichy, SkinCeuticals and other brands.

I got to decide to place my 1st order when I checked that they will going to have a 33% OFF within 24 hrs only, so I grab 3 items which are already on my wish list, but waiting for the right opportunity to bought them and since 33% OFF will really save me a lot, so I decided to order it.

One thing, I noticed about their website is it's looks very simple and nothing unnecessary ads, pop out on their website, as I am very annoying to some website that ads keep from popping out of my window. The process of making a payment is also quite simple, and I do like that I also can get BPoints every time I purchased online, which Luxola did, because they using MOLpay, so having a BCard is a good thing for me.

I placed my order on  24 Sep, and today I received my parcel by afternoon (27 Sep) and since I am very excited to see my items, I quickly open it and I'm satisfied how they wrapped it. The delivery is also impressive because it only takes 3 days to arrive on my doorstep. That's a really fast service because it comes all the way from Singapore and my shipping address is on the other planet! Lol.. I'm from Kedah, almost the Northern part of Peninsular Malaysia so, I guess that was a really fast service. Anyway, Aramex has no any branch here in Kedah. Their Main Office is located in Petaling Jaya, so they had to transfer my parcel from the other local courier which in my case, GDEX.

So let's start to see each item, shall we?

First, My new Real Techniques Blush Brush, I'm glad that I have a new addition to my Real Techniques Makeup Brush Collection. I love how it works on my cream and powder blush.

Real Techniques Blush Brush
I've got few Real Techniques Brushes and I purchased them from iherb, but I decided to bought my Blush brush from Luxola since they had a 33% discount and I can enjoy Free shipping as well..

Secondly, The gentle and non-oily Mario Badescu Eye Makeup Remover Gel. The great thing I do love on this eye makeup remover is it never gives me greasy feeling, unlike other makeup remover. And it works wonder removing my stubborn gel eyeliner and waterproof mascara

Mario Badescu Eye Makeup Remover (non-oily)
What is Mario Badescu?

For more info and list of their products, you can visit their website here.

Thirdly, this drugstore Sleek MakeUp Blush

Sleek Makeup Blush (Rose Gold)
Actually, this blush is not my 1st choice since I am planning to order Nars in Orgasm but since it's quite a bit pricey for a blush, I did some YouTube research for drugstore best blush product, and I found it. Most Beauty Youtubers make a review regarding to dupe of Nars Orgasm which is this, the Sleek MakeUp Blush in Rose Gold and it seems they really pretty similar. But not totally alike, as NARS would still be the great choice if I would.
But I am totally happy, that I purchased this, because I can definitely say that it's a great blush, very pigmented and can be used as a highlighter as well, because of its shimmery.

For the 3 items I got, it only cost me RM75.50, that is really cheap for 3 items since shipping fee International is FREE.

You can check out Luxola for more info. They currently have promotions and huge discount on selected items. Do check them out~~

Enjoy shopping!

Experience with Soothing Facial Treatment and My New Beauty Regime: Endocare Tensage Serum and Eucerin SPF 50++ Sunscreen

Today, I just visited for the second time the Celine Tan Clinic, it is a dermatologist clinic and well known here in Alor Star and it is located at Jalan Gangsa area.

Let's get back to my topic, it's not actually my type to go derma when my skin needs some pamper, I just make my own homemade facial mask. But due to my stupidity by putting a very strong benzoyl peroxide in my pimple area I got allergic reactions and caused me to have a swollen face the next day and it really makes me scared because my face was so crusty, redness and totally swollen. I have no choice, so I decided to get a list of Dermatologist clinic around Alor star and while surfing the internet, I'd found Celine Tan Clinic and decided to visit this one. So, I straight away make a call and ask for an appointment on the same day (Friday Sep19), and by afternoon I came there and let the Dermatologist check my skin. She was really so nice and she explained to me well why my face become sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. Since I am having a very sensitive and combination to oily skin, it's pretty obvious that my skin will get an allergic reaction to benzoyl peroxide. So she decided to give me some antibiotic and medication for allergy which need to be taken for 1 week. She also advised me to use a facial cleanser with no foam (hydrating cleanser), and it's really helped me a lot soothing my irritated swollen face! My gosh, I just can't let myself post here my picture during that time because I can't even take a look at it.. Makes me upset :( (lol) And she also gave me moisturizer to apply on after washing my face. Btw, I have a very oily skin but during the time that I got an allergic reaction from benzoyl peroxide my skin become too dry that even any moisturizer I put on or even the essential oils that I applied to never work! My skin keeps from absorbing it but never been hydrated. But the moisturizer she advised me to use was very effective, it relieves my face redness and at the same time it keeps my face hydrated until I felt like my skin were turning to my normal condition.. I'm not bothered having an oily skin, actually I more prefer to have an oily skin rather than dry skin, because I don't have to use as always the moisturizer, as my skin can produce enough moisture to support and protect my face.

So here is the products I've used during my face is in a middle crisis (lol)

In 3 days time I've used all this product, my skin starting to recover, but it is not that easy as I thought, because due to my previous acne, they still kept appearing on my chin but very minimal but pain though ;(

So when I visited the Clinic for the second time, I decided to have a Soothing Facial Treatment and purchased some products to be used on for my daily facial routine. I've already kept away all my previous facial care products (Neutrogena, Hada Labo, Thayer's Toner) and I will be sticking to my latest products.

Well, the procedure for my Soothing Facial treatment only take approximately less than an hour, like 30-40 minutes I guess.. They helped to take out my stubborn blackheads and whiteheads especially in my nose and chin area. It was a bit painful, but it's totally worth it and relaxing at the same time. Then, put on the mask and sit on my face for 15-20 mins. I felt my skin was so refreshing, bright and weightless due to many blackheads been sucked up by their machine. Really impressed!

(Since my face is now recovering from an allergic reaction, I will continue to use the Hydrating Cleanser, since it is very mild and non-foam gel type cleanser, it will calm and hydrate my skin at a same time. I also be continuing to use the Physiogel lotion during day time as it helps to relieve the redness of my skin during hot weather, And the Ezenide Lotion if my skin suffer from allergy or irritation again. My face normally experiencing some redness due to hot weather, so having this on my kit is a good thing.)

Here are the few products I bought from my second visit

Endocare Tensage Serum 30ml
It's quite pricey actually for 30ml bottle, but I think it's worth the money. My dermatologist told me that this serum is very popular due to its effectiveness, it is only exclusive and available to purchase from a dermatology clinic. I'd only used it during nighttime. The effect in my opinion is much way better if I put it during bed time, as my skin is trying to restore and repairing my skin cells during those hours and since it has a great ingredient of snail extract (Snail Secretion Filtrate), it will help to slow down anti-aging and preventing it at the same time, and its pretty working on my opinion and it lighten my scars which is a great thing of course ;).

It's a creamy and silky serum that easily can absorb by skin, leave your skin soft and hydrated. Very lightweight feeling and non-greasy at all. Suitable for even a very oily skin.

Eucerin Sun fluid Mattifying Face SPF50+

She advised me to apply this on my face during daytime, whether I stay inside home or going out, it must be a habit every morning after applying the serum to   apply this as well. This is to avoid pigmentation of skin when getting older and due to UV producing by lights, it still can cause breakouts and damage to our skin even in a minimal effect.

This sunscreen is a matte finish, non-greasy, non-oily and can be used under your makeup before applying your foundation. It is like a watery yellow that very easy to apply and spread on the skin. You can see the difference. But make sure to shake it well before using.

Although, going to Derma clinic is kind of a bit pricey, but sometimes our skin needs some attention that we can't provide for them, So treat them once in a while with proper treatment.

Hope you guys find my review helpful and I just want to share it with all of you, because most of us suffered from acne breakouts and sometimes we do things out of control just to find a way how to treat them or how to get away with those pesky zits. Well, like me, applying benzoyl peroxide without even thinking TWICE! What am I thinking anyway?! ha-ha...

Till my next review :)

Have a great weekend ladies!

Review: NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray. Stay shine free for long hours

Hi gorgeous ! Okay, today I'm going to write a short review regarding to my drugstore setting spray from NYX, which is the Matte Finish.  I saw this somewhere on YouTube and I heard quite many positive reviews regarding to this drugstore product. So, I've started to intrigue about this and how it is truly true that it can stay my makeup for long hours without being oily, and was it true?

Absolutely ! It really helped me to stay shine free for a couple of hours. It didn't claim that it will give me 12/24 hrs shine free, so obviously I didn't expect that long. As I am very satisfied with the result, Matte Finish and that's all what I want.

So let's take a look at it:-

This setting spray has a two type, for those who loved a dewy finish, there's a great one for you as well.. But since I do love a matte finish, this one is obviously for me :)

If you do have a combination/oily skin, you might try this because it will help to stay your makeup shine free for long hours compared to your makeup with no setting spray. But well, results may vary depending on your skin type. It will hold and lock up your makeup in place and it is a very lightweight spray.. And of course, non sticky/non-greasy..

It contains 60ml, and for that it will last for a month, since this one should only be used after your makeup, just 1-2 spray and voila! Welcome to shine free and perfectly matte finish look!

As it claims:
A lightweight, water based setting spray that keeps your makeup looking matte and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G through every kind of weather.

Directions:
Mist face evenly, holding the bottle 10 to 12 inches from the face. Dab away any excess with a tissue

Ingredients:
Water / Aqua / Eau, Alcohol, VP/VA Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Niacinamide, Sodium Salicylate, Plantago Lanceolata Leaf Extract, Mahonia Aquifolium Flower / Leaf / Stem Extract, Phenoxyethanol

Where to buy?
I bought it from Cosmetics Colour Malaysia for only RM36.50. There's a lot of cosmetic/beauty products to choose from there as well.. But, you can check it out at any Sephora Store Nationwide as they carrying this brand too.

Here is the review of one of the Famous Beauty Guru about the NYX Setting Spray. Enjoy watching!
