Did you know essential oils have a great benefit to our skin? Yes, you've read that right! Most of the essential oils are high in antioxidants which is great for our skin. It can help to fight and prevent damaging effects of aging, diet, and the environment. It is also can be used not only for the skin, but for hair and scalp as well. Due to its pure ingredient of only natural substance, it can be used for all skin types and take note, for even a very sensitive skin (Well, like me). It is very easy to absorb by the skin and can help to prevent and cure skin problems.
Let's get back on
HOW and
WHY did I get this
Last week, I decided to purchase two essential oils from
Natta Cosme. It's the 100% Pure Jojoba Oil by Desert Essence and Almond Oil from Now Solutions. Recently, I made a post regarding
my new beauty regimen, but after a week of using it alone, I decided why not combine it with essential oils, thinking of maybe it will work much well or at least can give more benefits to my skin and I didn't get wrong! Adding a few drops of jojoba oil from my Cleanser up to my serum really gives a long lasting effect, and it totally softens my skin as ever.
Can you believe it? The oils that I ignored for almost a year, has given me the soft and hydrated skin that I wish I had long time ago. I do love making a DIY face mask, the Olive oil and Tea tree oil that I've been mixing with my mask previously has also amazing result in my skin, but recently I have run out of those oils, so I decided to try the jojoba and almond oil. It's a great essential oil because the fact that they are natural, they also can give a very dramatic results on my skin. Based on my previous skin problem, I had a severe acne due to some reasons: Poor diet, lack of sleep, less exercise and stress. When my acne started to cover my entire cheeks and chin, I felt like I will never be in front of the mirror looking at myself again, it was like a nightmare that I want to escape to. I tried a lot of products from OXY, Nuteen, Nano, Hada Labo, Neutrogena, Dermalogica and nothing helps me to stop those pesky zits. Until one day, I saw at Guardian the Tea Tree oil from Aiken brand and it says 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil, so I decided to try it out and with my surprised it heals and dried my acne in just a few nights. Because, I only applied it during bed time as I don't like the oily feeling on skin during day time, It makes me like I need to fried something on my face if it combines with the natural oil produce by my face. I continued to use it, and if got a mood and a lot of time, I made a DIY Facial Mask which I am totally in love with :), It was so relaxing and soothed my irritated, sensitive skin and those angry pimples, I add a few drops of Olive oil as well to add some essence on the mask and it also gives a moisturizing effect on my skin.

After applying the Jojoba oil, there has a slight oil residue. (But not that oily like the coconut oil). Skin feels so moisturize and soft =) |

Almond oil 100% pure moisturizing oil 118ml |
I used the almond oil every morning when I woke up from bed, and before I wash my face. Just 2-3 drops are enough as I just only used it to massage my face, especially those areas that I still have visible acne scars, and leave for about 10-20 mins. And I washed my face with my Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and mix 2-3 drops of jojoba oil into it and lather all over my face and massage in a circular motion. Since my cleanser has no foam on it, it is very gentle and really so mild on my skin. It relieves redness around my nose and the jojoba oil help to clean deeply my pores and removes excess oil and it was very very soft. After rinsing, I pat it dry with a clean towel. Putting my moisturizer, I used Physiogel Al lotion and mix 1-2 drops of jojoba oil Again and apply it to my entire face. Again, Physiogel Al lotion is formulated for Rapid relief of redness and itch in dry, irritated and sensitive skin. It is exclusively can purchase from a Dermatologist. I only apply it during day time, but during night time, I used the Endocare Tensage serum and as like what I did in my morning routine, I also mix 1-2 drops of jojoba oil on my night time serum, it was not that oily as look what it is. It's just so soft and feel so hydrated and helps to recover my skin during night time as the serum contains snail extract ingredient which is known for helping to restore our skin natural properties, lighten scars and helps to even those skin area that has discoloration/uneven skin tone. Endocare Serum also exclusively from Dermatologist, It is really pricey, 30ml for like RM180+ so to make the best out of it, I used it only during night time, when my skin is restored and repairing those damage cells and layers of the skin which have been damaged due to previous acne problem. Those oils are my savior. I wouldn't look further with any other beauty products when it comes to my skin care, as it really answer what I looking for.
